    Hi all

So i replaced my O2 sensor yesterday. The Bank 1 sensor 2. Everything when fine. I cleared the alarm with my OBD2. Now today on my way home from work, the check engine light came back one and yes, it is the same alarm. Sensor O2 Bank 1 Sensor 2.

??????? Should i just burn the truck and buy a new one?????:D

Joke aside, i dont know where to go now for troubleshooting...

    Any takers ?

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Check the wiring isn't pinched or burned especially around hot areas of the engine. Also exhaust leaks or restrictions. EVAP emissions system or fuel pressure.

all right !! ill check that out. could fuel pressure really do that ??

Also, for more info, my OBD2 says i'm in the yellow for emission control. (if that means anything) and i have four lights flashing on it.. one is the O2S, Cat, and two others that i have no idea...

    cheers

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
on any car i have had i always unhook the battery for 30mins to reset it.
its the old fashion way, but that is the way i am. don't know if this helps.

I replace oxygen sensors in pairs. If one is bad, chances are the other one is failing too.

What brand O2 sensor did you buy? Denso is the only way to go on these trucks.

I replaced mine about 6 months ago, and the light came on about 3 more times over a few hundred miles. I reset it each time, and it has now quit coming on.

i went back and forth trying to fix the same problem... replaced both sensors twice over a couple years... now the only way i can keep the CEL off is if i run premium gas. if i fill up with regular the light will be back on by the end of the tank and it will take about 1-2 tanks of premium before it stays off. i've tested it several times and it happens like this every time.... i just figure the truck is getting picky in its old age.
  9. Advance Auto, Autozone, or O'Reilly Auto Parts will do a code reset for free... Could just be a fluke with the sensor tripping... Try having it reset once or twice and see if it comes back on, if so, replace the sensor with a OEM.
